Course details

This course is for you if you previously passed the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam more than 3 years ago. When you passed your Practitioner exam, you were able to call yourself a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner for a period of 5 years. After this time, your Registered Practitioner status expires.

Failure to pass the Re-registration Examination after 5 calendar years as a Registered Practitioner will result in withdrawal of your registered status.

Our courses are designed and taught to give you the greatest chance of passing your exams. This is reflected in our Re-registration pass rates of 97%.

We also like to save you time. Our exclusive online pre-course study materials will help you to familiarise yourself with PRINCE2 before you start training. We’ve pinpointed the essential aspects of the PRINCE2 syllabus in the pre-course materials, with the major advantage that you can prepare for the course in just 3-4 hours, instead of the 16+ hours required by many other training providers.

Knowledge Train is based in Tokyo and London and is a PRINCE2 Accredited Training Organisation, which means you can be confident that our course conforms to the highest standards of project management training.

Why this qualification?

This 2-day course is designed to help you renew your PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner status. By doing so it shows employers that you have kept your PRINCE2 knowledge up to date.

The training draws on your existing knowledge of PRINCE2 and focuses on preparing you to sit the PRINCE2 Re-registration exam at the end of the course.

Who is this for?

Our delegates come from a range of different backgrounds with varied motives behind taking up a PRINCE2 course. Industries have included finance, healthcare, 3rd sector, IT/software, media, entertainment, engineering, education, and local and central government; from organizations ranging from 1 to over 100,000 employees.

If your career goals differ from the ones listed please feel free to discuss your goals with our specialist advisors on +81 (0)3-4510-7884. They can advise you on choosing a course which best suits your career.

I currently use PRINCE2 on my projects and want to refresh my skills for work

A PRINCE2 Re-registration course will update your knowledge with the current PRINCE2 syllabus, which is renewed periodically every few years. Your employer may have requested that you familiarise yourself to remain up to date with current best practices. An up to date PRINCE2 practitioner status will also make a good first impression to your clients.

I am unemployed and need to update my CV

If you are currently unemployed then this would be a great opportunity to renew your PRINCE2 Practitioner status and update your CV. Renewing your practitioner status will show prospective employers that you are taking the initiative and are up to date with the latest project management best practices. Up to date PRINCE2 certification is widely regarded as the stepping stone back into employment.

Course and exam structure

The course lasts for 2 days. There is some pre-course reading of approximately 3-4 hours. Homework of between 1-2 hours per night will be set.

This PRINCE2 Re-registration course shares the same syllabus as the PRINCE2 Practitioner course but the open book exam is shorter than the Practitioner exam – only 1 hour with 30 questions. You need to score 17 out of 30 correct answers to pass. Our current pass rate is 97%.

Very effective

I thought the course was very good. I did the Foundation & Practitioner course at Knowledge Train 6 years ago, so I knew the teaching style would be very effective. All of the materials were good and the trainer was very clear in his delivery of the course. It was geared towards helping us use the manual effectively during the exam. I can think of no improvements to be made.

Very easy to follow

It was good, as it fully focused on teaching the exam questions and structure whilst providing useful tips. The materials were very easy to follow and it was easy to grasp key elements prior to attending the course. Kobus, our teacher, was very interactive and lively.

Course materials are excellent

Delivery of course is great and course materials are excellent. Very lively and knowledgeable trainer. A brand new student may feel a little lost at the lack of intro, as instructor does dive into the exam questions prep earlier on. However, I still think Knowledge Train is a very good training company for PRINCE2, and I will continue to come back for future re-certifications.

Thank you!

In 2008, I enrolled on an intensive course of PRINCE2 with Knowledge Train. It was a very positive experience, thanks to the professionalism of the trainer. This time, I didn't doubt in taking my Re-registration course with Knowledge Train again, and my expectations have been fulfilled once again. Thank you!

"Although there is a lot to digest during the course, the teacher was outstanding at effectively informing us of the main subject points. He was also good at explaining new terms and concepts referring to everyday situations. I will definitely be recommending this school to my friends and colleagues."
- Kie Yoshida, Mobell Communications Ltd
