Course details
This 4-day training course includes everything you need to gain PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification. These qualifications are widely regarded as essential for managing projects using PRINCE2.
The training is delivered by Knowledge Train’s founder – Simon Buehring – who has been based in Japan since 2014.
Our courses are designed and taught to give you the greatest chance of passing your exams. This is reflected in our PRINCE2 Practitioner exam pass rates of 83% (10% above the average) and our PRINCE2 Foundation pass rate of 99% (2% above the average).
We also like to save you time. Our exclusive online pre-course study materials have pinpointed the most essential aspects of the PRINCE2 syllabus. This is a big advantage for you because you can prepare for the course in just 3-4 hours.
Knowledge Train is based in Tokyo and London and is a PRINCE2 Accredited Training Organisation, which means you can be confident that our course conforms to the highest standards of project management training.
Why this qualification?
PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification is ideal if you’re taking on more project work or are moving into a project management role. If you work as part of a project team and are just looking to learn an overview of PRINCE2, then the standalone Foundation course should be more suited to you.
The course is designed to give you a thorough understanding of PRINCE2 and to show you how to apply the method to different project scenarios. By the end of the course you should have learned enough to be able to apply PRINCE2 to simple projects.
Don’t worry if you haven’t any prior knowledge or experience of either PRINCE2 or project management, experience is not necessary for this course.
On this course you will learn about the PRINCE2 approach to projects – its principles, themes, processes, and techniques – and how to apply PRINCE2 to simple projects. You will also be well prepared to pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams during the course.
Who is this for?
Our delegates come from a range of different backgrounds with varied motives behind taking up a PRINCE2 course. Industries have included finance, healthcare, 3rd sector, IT/software, media, entertainment, engineering, and local and central government; from organizations ranging from 1 to over 100,000 employees.
If your career goals differ from the ones listed please feel free to discuss your goals with our specialist advisors by completing this form. They can advise you on choosing a course which best suits your career.
I currently work as a member of a project team and want to start managing them
This is the most common goal among our PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner students. Some of you may not call yourselves project managers in a formal sense, but if you are taking on more project-based work or moving into a project manager role then this course is suitable for you. Not only will you become PRINCE2 certified, but you will also learn a methodical approach which you can bring back and apply on your projects.
I want to put PRINCE2 on my resume
Even if you are an experienced project manager this course is suitable for you. Some previous students have told us that they were rejected from jobs because they didn’t have the PRINCE2 qualification on their resume. If you are seeking a project manager role you will appreciate the wide recognition which PRINCE2 has obtained, and your new PRINCE2 certification can act as a stepping stone to getting that role your really want.
I want to change career into project management
One of the great things about attending a PRINCE2 course is that you don’t need any experience before attending. We have trained beginners who are from unrelated backgrounds such as consultancy, military, merchandising and even nursing; all of which may or may not have included elements of project work. If you are motivated towards a successful career transition you can be confident that PRINCE2 is one of the hottest certifications around especially if you are seeking work for a UK or EU employer.
I want to organize PRINCE2 training for my colleagues
If your organization wants to train its staff in PRINCE2 then we can help. Our knowledgeable and dedicated trainer based in Japan can help your staff get quickly up to speed with PRINCE2 and help them gain professional PRINCE2 Practitioner certification as well.

Would recommend
The course is intense, but very informative and worthwhile. Kobus has a helpful training style and is easy to follow. He gave great examples and broke down the course so we could relate it to everyday life. Course materials were great, especially the pre-course study, which helped imbed particles of information before attending. Would recommend.

Interactive as it progressed. We were free to ask questions and the trainer took us through the book in a logical fashion. He picked out key points and phrases, making good use of examples, highlighting and diagrams. We also received concise pre-course and in-class materials.

Small groups
Well-geared to passing the exams and the style of questions that will be asked. Small groups, which helped to make it more personal. Excellent pre-course study and course materials. Excellent training style
The course was hard! However, the trainer had an excellent training style. It really suited the way I like to learn, as he related the course content to different fields of work. This was very helpful and also made the course more interesting, especially when he related it to catering (my field of work!). The course materials were excellent and venue was sufficient.
